If At First You Don't Succeed....AudiblEye attended the National Federation of the Blind of Massachusetts (NFBMA) Convention from February 24th, 2017 to February 26th, 2017 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Boston, MA. This was the second time we attended the convention however the first time did not turn out as well as planned...
In 2016 AudiblEye attended the NFBMA Convention however we were unable to provide the indoor navigation solution due to a issue with the bluetooth beacons. This was an error with the bluetooth beacons that unfortunately could not be fixed before the convention began. Luckily we were able to come back this year (2017) and completed a successful installation with great feedback from the convention attendees! Antonio (Shown in video above) was very excited to try out the app, and luckily this year he was able to! We received great feedback like Antonio's and look forward to attending next year! From November 11th-13th AudiblEye attended the National Federation of the Blind Convention at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Independence, Ohio. The convention included various events and educational sessions of which attendees actively participated.
Working with MD Support and their pilot program LowViz Guide the hotel convention center was outfitted with bluetooth beacons and our indoor navigation application. Many users enjoyed using the app and provided valuable feedback for our continuous effort to improve the app. Over 150 attendees enjoyed navigating independently within the convention center. This was the very first time that the NFB Ohio Chapter had equipped their state convention with indoor navigation technology and the results were truly amazing! Individuals that downloaded the application utilized our way-finding technology to navigate the convention, find meeting rooms, and learn more about their surroundings. With descriptive information of each of the conference rooms and other points of interest such as restrooms, fitness room, and restaurants within the hotel attendees were able to hear information while navigating independently within the conference areas.
